Who is responsible for your data

The controller of the personal data described here is MLJ, SASU, a French simplified joint stock company registered under SIREN 934 769 837, publisher of the MicPrep service. The publication director is Jimenez Julien. Every request about your data reaches a person, not a queue, at jimenezjulien42@gmail.com.

What the contact form collects

The form in the request section of the home page is the only place on this website where you can submit personal information. It carries these fields, and no others: name (your full name), email (your work email address), company (the name of your show), role (your role on that show, chosen from a list), request (what you are asking for, chosen from a list), size (how much you record, chosen from a list), message (your free text description of how guests are booked on your show today), and consent (the checkbox recording that you agreed to this policy).

Three hidden fields travel with the submission for routing purposes: form-name, which tells the form service which form was sent, subject, which labels the notification email, and recipient, which addresses it. A further hidden field named bot-field exists to catch automated spam. It is invisible to people and any submission that carries a value in it is discarded.

We do not ask for a postal address, a telephone number, a payment card, a date of birth or any special category of data. Please do not put sensitive personal information, guest contact details or anything confidential into the message box.

Why we are allowed to hold it

For visitors in the European Union and the European Economic Area, the legal basis under Article 6(1)(b) of the General Data Protection Regulation is the taking of steps at your request before entering into a contract, and under Article 6(1)(f) our legitimate interest in answering people who contact our business. The consent checkbox records your agreement and can be withdrawn at any time by writing to us, which does not affect the lawfulness of anything done before the withdrawal.

For visitors in the United States, we process this information because you asked us to reply. We do not sell personal information and we do not share it for cross context behavioral advertising, as those terms are defined in state privacy law.

Who processes the submission

Form submissions on this site are handled by Netlify Forms, operated by Netlify, Inc., 512 2nd Street, Suite 200, San Francisco, CA 94107, United States. Netlify receives the submission, stores a copy in the site dashboard and forwards a notification email to the publisher. Netlify acts as our processor and is bound by its own data processing terms. The publisher reads and answers submissions using standard business email.

Beyond Netlify and our email provider, no third party receives what you send. We do not pass enquiries to advertising networks, data brokers, lead generation services or partners of any kind.

How long submissions are kept

A submission stays in the Netlify dashboard and in the email thread for twenty four months from the date you sent it, so that we can pick up a conversation you started last season. If your enquiry becomes a paying subscription, the record is kept for the life of the account and then for the period required by French accounting law. If you ask us to delete an enquiry earlier, we remove it from the dashboard and from the mailbox within thirty days and confirm in writing.

Cookies and measurement

micprep.com sets no advertising cookies, no analytics cookies and no third party trackers. There is no Google Analytics tag, no advertising pixel and no social media tracking script on these pages. Web fonts are requested from Google Fonts, which receives the network request needed to deliver the font files. Netlify keeps standard server logs, including truncated IP addresses, for security and abuse prevention, and those logs are retained for a short period by Netlify rather than by us.

International transfers

MLJ, SASU is established in France and Netlify is established in the United States, so a submission sent from Europe is transferred to the United States. That transfer relies on the European Commission standard contractual clauses included in the Netlify data processing agreement, together with the technical measures Netlify applies to data in transit and at rest. A submission sent from the United States is processed in the United States and reviewed from France.

Your rights in the United States

If you live in California, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah or Virginia, state law gives you the right to know what personal information we hold about you, to obtain a copy of it, to correct inaccuracies, and to have it deleted. California residents may also ask about disclosures of personal information for a business purpose in the past twelve months, and are protected from any discriminatory treatment for exercising these rights. Because we neither sell personal information nor use it for targeted advertising, the opt out rights created by those statutes have nothing to apply to, but you may still send the request and we will confirm this in writing. Colorado, Connecticut and Virginia residents may appeal a refused request by replying to our decision email, and we will answer the appeal within forty five days.

Your rights in the European Union and the United Kingdom

You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, portability and objection, and the right to withdraw consent at any time. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. In France that authority is the Commission Nationale de l'Informatique et des Libertes.

How to exercise any of these rights

Write to jimenezjulien42@gmail.com from the address you used on the form, say what you want done, and you will get a substantive answer within thirty days. We may ask one question to confirm you are the person who sent the enquiry, and we will not charge a fee for a reasonable request.

Children

MicPrep is a business tool sold to podcast producers, and this website is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under sixteen. If you believe a minor has sent us information through this form, write to us and we will delete it promptly.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS. Submissions are transmitted encrypted, and access to the form dashboard is limited to the publisher through an account protected by two factor authentication. No transmission over the internet is ever perfectly secure, so we keep the amount of information we ask for as small as the job allows.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the date at the top of the page changes with it and the previous version is kept on file. Material changes affecting people who have already written to us are announced by email to the address used on the form.
